Ferrales Named SSC Men's Basketball Player of Week

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Barry junior guard Juan Ferrales has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week presented by VALIC.

Ferrales (Pembroke Pines/American Heritage HS) scored 33 points, hitting eight 3-pointers, to lead the Buccaneers to a convincing 109-79 victory over Florida Tech in the regular season finale. His eight 3s rank second most made in a game in program history. Ferrales went 11-of-17 from the field, 8-of-12 from long range and 3-for-3 from the foul line against the Panthers. On Wednesday, Ferrales recorded 19 points to lead Barry to an 82-78 win over Lynn. He shot 50 percent from the field (6-of-12) with two assists and two steals.

It is the second SSC Player of the Week honor Ferrales received this year. He leads the Bucs in scoring at 15.7 ppg. He's had three 30-point games this season.
