SKILLMAN, N.J. -- Barry University men's tennis team finished No. 3 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
The Buccaneers went 25-3 this season, advancing to the NCAA Division II semifinals.
Freshman Ahmed Triki was ranked No. 3 in the final singles rankings. Triki went 13-3, all at the No. 1 flight, to earn All-American honors. The top 20 ranked players in the country earn All-American honors in singles. Triki was 6-3 against nationally-ranked opponents.
Junior Fabian Groetsch finished the season with a No. 15 ranking, following a 10-5 record. It is the second time Groetsch earned singles All-American honors in his three-year Buccaneers career.
Senior Ollie Lemaitre and Triki finished the year with a No. 3 doubles ranking to earn All-American distinction. The top 10-ranked doubles teams in the country earn All-American honors. Lemaitre, the school's all-time doubles wins leader with 82 career victories, paired with Triki to put together a 15-3 record with 14 wins at the No. 1 flight.
