Had a very good season last year playing in the two spot ... Had a great fall season as well ... Coming in with more confidence this year ... Should play either one or two in singles and number one in doubles ... Excellent backcourt game.

 

JUNIOR (FALL 2008): Finished the fall season ranked #18 in Division II ... Won the ITA South Regional, beating the number one seed, Julien Carsuzza of Lynn ... Advanced to the consolation round of the ITA Championship ...Went 6-2 in singles and  4-1 in doubles with partner Roman Werschel.

 

SOPHOMORE (SPRING 2008): Split majority of time between the one and two positions earning a 10-5 mark ... Went 11-5 overall ... Beat 37th ranked Federico Levi of Drury in the third round of the NCAA Division II National Championship ... Beat three nationally ranked opponents including a win against Valdosta State’s Florian Halb on Feb 2 ... Went 15-7 in doubles including 4-0 in the number one position with partner Roman Werschel ... Was an ITA All-American in singles and doubles.

 

CLUB & PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Played for coach Don Barr at the University of South Florida for one season ... While playing with the Bulls he posted a 5-3 record at #1 singles and a 1-3 record in  doubles ... Posted quality victories as a freshman ... Was ranked as high as 6th in Slovenia in singles competition ... Won a high school championship his senior year.

 

PERSONAL: Son of Janko Svigelo and Irena Svigelj-Dovjak  ... Computer information systems major.
