Women's Golf Finishes 4th at Lady Moc Classic

LAKELAND, Fla. – The Barry University women’s golf team finished fourth out of a 16-team field at the Lady Moc Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The Buccaneers (+41) shot a three-round score of 905 on the 5,997 yard, par-72 Cleveland Heights golf course.
 
Host Florida Southern (+29) won the team championship with a three-round score of 893, while Rollins (+36) finished second with an even 900 score. Nova Southeastern (+39) finished third, while Barry (+41) and Lynn (+64) rounded out the top five teams respectively.
 
Barry’s RemiJin Camping (+7) finished tied for second out of 80 individuals with a three round score of 223. Johanna Soderstrom (+11) finished 12th with a 227, while Isadora Stapff (+15) and Cristina Coll (+15) finished T16 with identical 231 three round scores. Anna Haglind (+17) finished T24 to round out the Buccaneer team score.
 
Florida Southern’s Marianne Anderson (+6) finished as the individual medalist with a three-round score of 222.
 
The Buccaneers will return to action Mar. 10-11 at the Peggy Kirk Bell Classic in Winter Springs, Fla. at Tuscawilla Country Club.
Round 2
LAKELAND, Fla. – The Barry University women’s golf team move up one spot on the second day of the Lady Moc Classic and are in second place out of 16 teams after two rounds of play. The Buccaneers (+22) have carded a two-round score of 598 (302-296) and are just three strokes out behind the tournament leader on the 5,997 yard, par-72 Cleveland Heights golf course.
 
Host Florida Southern (+19) is the current tournament team leader by three strokes over second place Barry with a three-round score of 595. Rollins (+24) is third, while Nova Southeastern (+29) is fourth. Lynn (+46) rounds out the host of Sunshine State Conference schools that are currently in the top five.
 
Barry’s RemiJin Camping (+4) and Cristina Coll (+4) have identical two-round scores of 148 and are two-strokes behind the tournament individual leader. The Buccaneer duo is currently tied for second out of 77 individuals competing in the field.
 
Johanna Soderstrom (+5) is close behind tied for fifth with a two-round 149 score, while Isadora Stapff (+9) is tied for 14th. Anna Haglind (+13) rounded out the Buccaneer team score T29.
 
Nova Southeastern’s Sandra Changkija (+2) is the currently atop the individual leader board with a two-round score of 146.
 
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday morning with an 8:30 am shot gun start.
 
 
Round 1
LAKELAND Fla. – Barry University Women’s Golf finished the first round of play in the Lady Moc Classic with a third place finish (302). Rollins College and host Florida Southern finished tied for first with scores of 301 on the 5,997 yard, 72 par course.

Leading the Buccaneers was RemiJin Camping, who shot a 73 which was good enough for a first place tie with Kim Ulander of Florida Southern. Fellow Buc Johanna Soderstrom also had a strong individual performance with a first round score of 75 whih placed her sixth in the individual field and tied with Heather Burgner of Florida Southern. Cristina Coll finished with a 76 and just shy of the top-10. She finished the round tied for 11th.

The Buccaneers will resume play tomorrow in the second round of the Lady Moc Classic beginning at 8:15 am.
