DAVIE, Fla.—The 20th ranked Barry University men’s soccer team is undefeated on the season after beating Lake Erie 3-1 on Friday night at Nova Southeastern.

The Bucs (3-0-0) scored once in the first half when Mark Anderson blasted a free kick past the Storm goalkeeper from 25 yards out.

Pedro Petris scored his first goal of the season in the second half off a corner by Mark Kilpatrick.  Ricardo Ramirez helped with the assist. The final Buccaneer goal came when Wendell James crossed the ball from the right side into the middle where Vuk Kojic headed it in.

The Buccaneers held the Storm (0-3-0) scoreless until the 80th minute of the game when Lake Erie's persistence finally paid off, as the Bucs were unable to clear a ball out of the box and the resulting scrum led to a goal.

The Bucs return to action on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 1:00 pm against Warner Southenr in a neutral site game at Nova Southeastern.
