HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—Mark Anderson converted a penalty kick in the 39th minute and the Barry Buccaneers defeated the Alabama-Huntsville Charger 1-0 in a sloppy rain-marred game at Charger Field on Sunday.

The game, which was played in a steady rain, was also marred by four red cards, two for each team.

Devala Gorrick made a season-high nine saves and Sam Fessehazion swept a shot by Amir Deylami away from the goal in the 74th minute as the Bucs (6-0-0) posted their second straight shutout. Tyler Early had four saves for the Chargers (0-6-0).

The Buccaneer tied their school record for best start to the season with their sixth straight win. The Bucs previously won their first six in 2005 and 2006.

Barry returns to Buccaneer Field on Saturday, Sept. 20 as they open Sunshine State Conference play against arch-rival Lynn. Game time is 7:00 pm.
