Women's Volleyball Falls to Florida Tech

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University women’s volleyball team lost their second SSC match in a 4-set loss to Florida Tech (12-2, 1-1 SSC) on Saturday afternoon in the Health and Sports Center.

The Bucs (3-3, 0-2 SSC) won the first game with relative ease. The Bucs jumped out to a 12-16 lead in set one as Samara Ferreira, Camilla Pagnan, Libby Walters, Meisje-Sable Burton, Julia Ridley combined for 13 kills. Barry won set one 20-25.

The Panthers controlled the remaining three sets winning set two, 25-20, set three, 25-20, and set four 25-11.

Ashya Nickels had 26 assists for the Panthers, and Libby Waters had 34 assists for the Bucs.

The Bucs return to action on Friday, Sept 26 at 7:00 pm at Eckerd.
