Women's Soccer Falls To Unbeaten Argonauts

TAMPA, Fla.—The Barry University Women’s soccer team dropped their second straight match on Sunday afternoon, losing to the University of West Florida (7-0-1) 2-0.

The Argos got out quick, scoring at 37:18 in the first half when Shaneka Gordon shot from outside the box, and put the ball to the left of Sami Cromartie.

West Florida’s second goal came in the second period when Noha Saleh took a corner kick. Kaley Morris was waiting, and slid the ball past Cromartie.

The Bucs (5-3-0, 1-1 SSC) only took three shots all day, as Arogs goalkeeper, Courtney Jones, goes to 7-0-1 on the season. Sami Cromartie drops to 5-3-0 on the season.

The Bucs return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Nova Southeastern at 7:00 pm.
