WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Barry volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-11) win over the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Wednesday night at Rubin Arena.
Camilla Pagnan led a balanced attack for the Bucs (5-4) with 12 kills, while Meisje-Sable Burton and Julia Ridley each had nine. Libby Walter had 20 assists and a match-high five service aces. Lauren Evans led Barry with 17 digs.
Trailing 15-14 in set one, the Bucs scored nine of the next 12points to take a 23-18 lead and put the set in the books at 25-20 led by the five for nine hitting of Burton.
In the second set, it was the Bucs who jumped out in front early for a 10-7 lead. After the Sailfish (5-8) battled back to lead 17-16, the Bucs again pulled away down the stretch, scoring nine of the final 11 points.
The third set was completely dominated by the Bucs, as the Sailfish hit -.067 for the frame. Burton again supplied the power with four kills in four swings.
Allie Warren led PBA with eight kills, while Emily Ryerson had 24 assists and eight digs. Brittany Erickson also had eight digs.
The Bucs travel on Saturday to St. Augustine, Fla., facing the Valdosta State Blazers at 2:00 and the Flagler Saints at 6:00 pm.
