MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Sascha Koettig had a goal and an assist as the Barry Buccaneers posted a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the St. Thomas Bobcats at Buccaneer Field on Wednesday night.

Koettig knocked in the game-winner just 1:27 into the second half. Wendell James flipped a pass to Koettig at the top of the 18-yard box and he blasted a shot to the far post past Bobcat keeper Aaron Jones.

The Bobcats (3-6-0) got on the board early. The Buccaneers (10-3-0) gave the ball away in the back and Sunday Ogundaise started a breakaway. Barry keeper Devela Gorrick stopped the first shot, but could not get to the rebound and Ogundaise chipped it in.

Barry got the equalizer in the 33rd minute. Koettig took a free kick from 24 yards out and James flicked it over to Vuk Kojic who slotted it home.

Gorrick had seven saves to pick up his 10th win of the season, while Jones did yeoman’s work with 11 stops for the Bobcats.

Bucs travel to Saint Leo on Saturday to face the Lions at 7:00 pm.
