ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers fired a tournament-best 303 in the second round to take the team title at the Flagler Fall Slam on Tuesday at the 6,039 yard Slammer and Squire course at the World Golf Village.
 
The Bucs, who had shot 300 on the first round, had three players finish in the top 10. Cristina Coll shot a two-over-par 146 (72-74) to finish second, while Isadora Stapff was one shot back (70-77--147) in third place. Anna Haglind (75-78--153) finished tied for ninth. Johanna Soderstrom (83-74--157) and Lizzi Over (91-89--180) rounded out the Buccaneer entry.
 
Lynn dropped from first to second after shooting 315 on the second round. They finished five shot in back of the Bucs. Embry-Riddle (621), West Florida (627) and Belmont Abbey (638) rounded out the top five.
 
ERAU's Tara Allen won the individual medal, carding even par 144 (71-73). Danielle Iacobelli of Florida Tech was fourth at 148 (72-76), while Lynn's Katy Mcnicoll was fifth at 149 (74-75). 
 
 
Women’s Golf 3rd at Flagler Fall Slam After One Round
 
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – After the first round of play at the Flagler Fall Slam, the Barry University women’s golf team is in third-place out of the 20 team field with a score of 300 (+12) on the 6,039 yard Slammer and Squire course at the World Golf Village.
 
Lynn University leads the tournament after the first round firing a five-over 293. West Florida fired a 10-over 298 and sits in second, while Barry rounds out the top three, only seven shots back of Lynn.
 
Isadora Stapff is currently in second out of the 96 player field and leads the Bucs after her first round 70, two-under-par. Cristina Coll (72) is two shots back of Stapff and in a tie for fifth, while Anna Haglind’s 75 (+3) is currently tied for 12th. Senior Johanna Soderstrom shot a first round 83 (+11) and is tied for 45th while freshman Lizzi Over rounds out the Bucs’ scores with her round of 91 (+19).
 
Donia Scarello of Lynn Univeristy leads all individual after firing a four-under 68 in the first round.
 
The Flagler Fall Slam will be concluded Tuesday morning.
