WINTER PARK, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell to the Rollins Tars 71-58 in the Warden Arena in men’s Sunshine State Conference basketball action on Saturday.
The Bucs (6-11, 1-6 SSC) trailed 27-22 at the half, but forged a 30-36 lead at the 11:57 mark of the second half after a free throw by Karega Tucker.
The Tars (14-4, 6-1 SSC), however, responded with a 20-2 run over the next seven minutes and the Bucs would get no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.
Tucker had 22 points to lead all scorers for the Bucs, while Jamaal Madyun added 12. Nick Wolf led the Tars with 18 points, while Zach Pancrantz added 15.
The Bucs return home on Wednesday, Jan. 28 to host the Florida Tech Panthers.
