MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Nova Southeastern Sharks defeated the Barry Buccaneers 60-53 in Sunshine State Conference women’s basketball action in the Health & Sports Center on Wednesday.
The Sharks (10-14, 6-7 SSC) outscored the Bucs 16-6 over the last seven minutes to take the game. The Bucs made just one of their last eight shots from the field.
Stephanie Sarosi led the Sharks with 21 points, while Eliza Allen added 18. Mariesa Greene has 19 points and nine rebounds, while Kristy Singletary had 12 points for Barry (14-10, 5-8 SSC).
The Bucs host the conference-leading Rollins College Tars on Saturday at 2:00 pm as the Bucs celebrate “Senior Day” honoring the three seniors: Singletary, Princess Bailey and Lucy Martinez.
