MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The Barry University men's golf team held on for a first-place finish at the Panther Invite Tuesday afternoon.

The Bucs 925 (306-302-317) bested Brevard CC (926) and Florida Institute of Technology (929) for the top spot.

Daniel Stapff remained the top Buc, as he finished in sole possesion of fourth after firing a 228 (74-76-78).

Victor Billskoog finished a solid seventh overall after carting home a 231 (78-72-81).

Preston Roberts had the best final round on the day for Barry, as he shot a 77 to finish in a tie for 8th with a 232 (77-78-77).

Matt Jonah 238 (81-76-81) tied for 21st and Chris Carlin 239 (77-78-84) finished in a tie for 24th.

Barry will return to action on Sunday Mar. 15 when they travel to Valdosta, GA for the Southeastern Collegiate Invite.

Men's Golf In First After Two

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Barry University men’s golf team is off to a solid lead at the Panther Invite.

After two rounds, the Bucs 608 (306-302) hold an 11-stroke lead over host Florida Institute of Technology.

Daniel Stapff (74-76) and Victor Billskoog (78-72) are in the lead for the Bucs, as they are both currently tied for second overall after carting in a 150.

Chris Carlin 155 (77-78) sits in a tie for 13th along with teammate Preston Roberts 155 (77-78).

Matt Jonah 157 (81-76) tied for 21st and Juan Perello 159 (79-80) tied for 25th round out the scoring for Barry.

Mathieu Gingras 146 (74-72) from Laval currently leads Stazff and Billskoog for first overall by four-strokes.

The Bucs will conclude the Panther Invite today with the final round.
