MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University baseball team completed a four-game sweep of Pace after defeating the Setters, 19-10, Sunday night at Feinbloom Field.

The pattern remained the same from the previous three games, as the Pace Setters set the pace in the first inning with two runs.

The Bucs (20-2) ten countered with a six-run onslaught in the bottom of the first, as Yan Gomes cashed in two walks before him with a three-run home run to left center to give the Bucs a 3-2 lead.

Nick Shaw, batting for the second time in the inning, he completed the first with a two-run single to give Barry a 6-2 advantage.

After the Setters (4-8-1) trimmed the Bucs lead down to four at 14-10 heading into the bottom of the eighth, Barry made sure to put the game out of reach for good.

With three runs already home for the Bucs in the inning, Gomes capped the five-run eighth with a two-run double to help give him 6 RBI on the night.

Andrew Koubek came on in relief in the fifth and recorded the win, going three innings and allowing four unearned runs for his first victory of the season.

The Bucs will look to extend their 12-game winning streak on Monday when they host Merrimack beginning at 6 p.m.
