Men's Tennis Topples Hilltoppers

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- The Barry University men’s tennis team handled the weather and the St. Edward’s Hilltoppers (3-5) to earn their 15th victory of the season on Saturday.
The Bucs (15-1) took all three doubles matches to get out to a 3-0 lead on the Hilltoppers.  In doubles one, Ales Svigelj and Andrew Sharnov beat Brett Powers and Mick Walter 9-8 (7-4). In doubles two, Max Wimmer and Sergio Velez beat Justin Raiti and Nick Arnold 8-6. In doubles three, Emanuel Fraitzl and Jakub Fejfar beat Boris Barrios and Bernard Lancaster 8-4.
Due to the rainy conditions, only two of the singles matches were finished.  In singles number two, Fraitzl beat Raiti 6-4, 6-4.  In singles four, Roman Werschel beat Walter 6-3, 6-2.
The Buccaneers return to action at home against SSC opponent Eckerd on Sunday, March 23 at 10:00 am.
