MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University men’s Tennis team returned to winning form on Saturday afternoon, beating Rollins 8-1 at Buccaneer Tennis Center.
The Bucs earned all three points in the doubles matches, starting with an 8-6 win by Emanuel Fraitzl and Max Wimmer over Adrian Tan and Jeff Morris in the number one spot. In number two doubles, Roman Werschel and Andrew Sharnov beat Neil Claussen and Gustavo Carhalho 8-4. In the number three spot, Sergio Velez and Jakub Fejfar handed an 8-3 loss to Nick ROwlands and Bill Rockwood.
In singles action, Fraitzl earned a victory in the number one spot, beating Tan 6-4, 6-3. In number two singles, Sharnov beat Morris 6-4, 6-1.
The Tars only point of the afternoon came in the number three singles spot where Carhalho beat Wimmer 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Bucs went on to take the final three points with wins by Werschel, Fejfar, and Velez in four, five, and six respectively.
The match was the final SSC match for the Bucs of the season, leaving them with a 51- conference record for the season. The Buccaneers return to action at home on Wednesday, April 1 against Northwood at 3:00 pm.
