Volleyball takes Lander in Straight Sets

SAVANNAH, GA—It only took three sets for the Barry volleyball team to dismiss Lander on Friday.

Leading the way for the Bucs was junior transfer Julia Teixiera. Teixiera finished the match with 13 kills, four aces, and one block, as well as a team-leading 13 digs. With less than a week of play under her belt Teixiera has already amassed 57 kills, second on the team, and 37 digs.

Sophomore setter Libby Walter led the team in assists with 21. Walter leads the team in assists with 147.

Next up for the Bucs on Saturday Sept. 12 is host Armstrong Atlantic in Savannah, Ga., at 1:30 pm, followed by Wingate and their 35-match winning streak in the regular season to close out teh tournament.
