BOCA RATON, Fla.—The Barry University volleyball team dropped an SSC match on Tuesday evening, falling 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-23) to Lynn.
The Knights (13-4, 2-2 SSC) owned the first two sets, winning 25-12 in set one and 25-17 in set two.
The Bucs (10-5, 2-4 SSC) fought through the beginning of the third set to keep the score close at 10-7 and 14-11. Barry used an offensive run, led by Julia Ridley and a number of Knight errors, to tie the game at 19-19. Yet the Bucs were unable to hold off the strong Lynn offense, losing set three 25-23.
Julia Teixiera led the Bucs with 15 kills while Libby Walter tallied 29 assists. The Bucs return to action on Friday, October 9 at home against Tampa at 7:00 pm.
