Men's Basketball Falls at the Hands of the Knights

BOCA RATON, Fla.— The Barry University men’s basketball team led by five at halftime, but lost 74-69 to the Lynn University Knights on Wednesday evening.
 
The Bucs (11-5, 3-3 SSC) took a 19-10 lead in the first half when Eric Nsangou drove into the paint for a layup. Barry’s largest lead of 11 came with 1:57 remaining in the first half when Evan White converted a pair of free throws to give the Bucs a 38-27 lead.
 
Barry would enter halftime up 38-33.
 
In the second half, the Knights (10-7, 4-2 SSC) used a balanced offensive attack led by Chris Hall to overtake the Bucs 53-52 with 12:27 remaining in the game.
 
Following a number of lead changes, Lynn took 65-54 lead when Kendall Butler drained a three-pointer.
The Knights stayed on top till the buzzer sounded, winning 74-69.
 
For the Buccaneers, Tony Dennison had 18 points and Bryan Chiverton and Nsangou combined for 23.
 
The Bucs return to action on Saturday, January 23 at Tampa at 4:00 p.m.
