DAVIE, Fla.—The Barry University women’s soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Nova Southeastern Sharks on a wet and sloppy University Field on Wednesday night.

Alexis Hernandez scored twice for the Sharks and added an assist, while Malin Broberg had the game-winner in the seventh minute.

The Bucs (6-3-0, 2-1-0 SSC) were shutout for the first time this season, snapping the eight-game scoring streak of freshman Emma Karp.

The Sharks (5-3-0, 2-0-0 SSC) held a 13-8 edge in shots, though on goal it was much closer at 7-6.

Mikaela Barboza had four saves for the Bucs, while Chrissie Hy made six to preserve the shutout for the Sharks.

The Bucs travel to St. Leo, Fla., on Saturday to take on the Lions at 7:00 pm.
