MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers dropped a 1-0 decision to the Northwood (Fla.) Seahawks on Tuesday night at Buccaneer Field.

Matilda Ojaniemi provided all the fireworks in the game. The Seahawk goal tender scored the game’s lone goal in the 16th minute, punting a ball the length of the field that hopped over the head of Barry’s Emily Brunnschweiler and into the net. Ojaniemi also made six saves including two off her fingertips on shots by Barry’s Melissa Madrid.

Brunnschweiler had two saves for the Bucs, while Melissa Toledo made one in a scoreless second half.

The Bucs next host the eighth-ranked Rollins Tars on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7:00 pm.
