DAVIE, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers continued their outstanding play from Friday night to post a 75-41 win over Northwood (Fla.) in the NSU Tip-off Classic in the University Center on Saturday afternoon. The Bucs opened the game with a 12-2 run and never looked back.
 
Barry (2-2) carried a 23-point lead into the break on a three-pointer by Adrienne Hicks and extended the lead to as many as 35 in the second period before settling for the 34-point win.
 
Shanna Suttington led a balanced Buccaneer attack with a game-high 16 points, but 14 of the 15 players for Barry who saw action recorded points. Hicks had nine, while Mazel Huyler, Danielle DeBerry, Yvonne Houston and Jen Mitchell all chipped in seven.  For Northwood (1-2), no one reached double figures, but Keishla Rivera led the Seahawks with nine.
 
Suttington and Hicks were named to the All-Tournament team along with Breanna Daniels from Truman and Abie Tepe and MVP Stephanie Sarosi of Nova Southeastern.
 
The Bucs open the home portion of the schedule on Wednesday, Nov. 24th when they host Minnesota-Crookston at 5:30 pm in the Health & Sports Center.
