Women's Basketball Stumbles Against Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla.—The Barry women’s basketball team fell to the Lynn Fighting Knights 76-53 on Saturday.

Kisa Duncan scored a career-best for Barry with 17 points off the bench. Duncan went 6-9 from the field and 4-6 from behind the arc. The senior also added three rebounds. Following Duncan was Nadia Tijani with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bucs finished the first half shooting a mere 16.7 percent from the field on a 4-24 performance. From behind the arc, Barry posted a 1-6 mark in the first period.

Barry cut the Lynn lead down to 10 in the second half one time at the 13:40 mark from a Duncan put back on an offensive rebound to make it a 38-28 game. The Buccaneers would never be any close to the Fighting Knights the rest of the game.

The Buccaneers collected a 26.7 percent shooting mark for the game with a 32 percent mark from three point land and 44 percent shooting from the charity stripe.

The next game for Barry is in one week as the Buccaneers wrap up the regular season at Saint Leo on Feb. 26 starting at 2:00 p.m., with live coverage on the Buccaneer Broadcasting Network starting just before tip-off.
