Men's Tennis Returns To Winning Ways Against Flagler

ST. AUGUSTINE., Fla.—The #1-ranked Barry University men’s tennis team returned to their winning ways with a 5-3 defeat of #17 Flagler College on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles action, the Bucs took one point at the top flight where Max WImmer and Quentin Vachez downed #10 David Cotrone and Gino Ramirez 9-8 (7-3).
Emanuel Fraitzl and Sergio Velez fell 8-6 to Harry Snoxell and Uriel Oquendo at the second flight, and Marco Mokrzycki and Ollie Lemaitre were defeated 9-8 (13-11) by Peter Coulis and Adam Hunt at number three.
In singles action, the Bucs four points. Top-ranked Fraitzl Beat #7 Cotrone 6-3, 6-4 in No. 1 singles. No. 26 Wimmer downed Coulis 6-4, 6-3 at number two. Lemaitre defeated Hunt 6-3, 6-2 at the #5 spot, and Romain Costamagna beat Oquendo 6-1, 6-1 in the sixth flight.
Vachez fell 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 to Ramirez in No. 3 singles while Velez’s match against #55 Snoxel went unfinished. Velez was up 7-5, 3-6, 2-1 when the match ended.
The Bucs return to action on Thursday when they travel west to take on a myriad of Pacific-Coast teams starting with Fresno Pacific.
