Men's Tennis Rolls Past Mocs
Fraitzl and Wimmer won 8-4 to lead the Bucs in a sweep of doubles action.

LAKELAND, Fla.--The Barry University men’s tennis team picked up another victory on Friday, besting Sunshine State Conference foe Florida Southern 8-1 and claiming the regular-season title for the conference and the top seed in the upcoming SSC Tournament.

Leading the way for the Buccaneers was Emanuel Fraitzl, currently ranked #1 in the country in singles, as he defeated Ivan Marevic 6-2,6-4 improving his singles record to 13-5 overall as well as 4-1 in SSC matches.

Also in singles action #11 Marco Mokrzycki defeated Brian de Montfort 7-6, 6-2 with the victory, Mokrzycki also improves his SSC singles record to 4-1. Additionally, picking up victories in singles for the Bucs were Quentin Vachez, Sergio Velez, and Romain Costamagna.

The Buccaneers only loss came in singles as Max Wimmer lost at the number two position in a pair of close sets to Benoit Paradis 6-4, 7-5.

The Buccaneers swept all three matches in doubles action as the Fraitzl and Wimmer tandem led the charge by defeating Marevic and Brian deMontfort 8-4 and maintaining their undefeated record, 4-0, in conference play.

Furthermore, the brilliant doubles play for the duo of Ollie Lemaitre and Velez continued as they improved their overall record to 10-0 including a 4-0 mark in conference.

Mokrzycki and Vachez also defeated C.J. Johnson and Paradis 8-4.

The Buccaneers return to action tomorrow as they face off against Embry Riddle at 10 a.m.
