TAMPA, Fla.—The 10th-ranked Barry Buccaneers ended with their third straight tie, drawing 1-1 with the Tampa Spartans at Pepin Stadium on Saturday night.

The Spartans (2-6-2, 2-2-1 SSC) struck first in the third minute. Ryan Griffin lofted a cross over the head of Barry keeper Johnny Rodriguez. The ball caromed off the far post and back into the middle of the box where Dominic Cutrofello headed it in.

The Bucs (7-1-3, 1-1-3 SSC) knotted the game in the 30th minute. Randy Taylor was fouled in box and Mark Anderson converted the penalty kick for his 16th goal of the season.

Rodrigues made four saves for the Bucs the rest of the way to earn the tie. David Neipel had four saves for the Spartans.

The Bucs take on the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish at Buccaneer Field on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7:00 pm.
