MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell to the Florida Memorial Lions 79-74 in the Health & Sports Center on Saturday.
The Bucs (1-3) led 52-50 with 11:11 left in the second half, but the Lions (2-2) responded with a 14-4 run over the next 3:25 to take a 64-56 lead with 7:46 to play on a three-pointer by Brenton Davis. The Lions would push the lead to as many as 10 points before settling for the five-point win.
Adrian White pumped in 32 points for the Lions, who played without leading scorer Matthew Rolle, while Marceles Adams added 17 points. Keion Palmer led the Bucs with 22 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks. Justin McCoy had 11 points and eight assists, while Chad Renfro added 14 points.
The Bucs host Johnson & Wales on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7:00 pm.
