WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers dug a big hole to start the game and it proved their undoing in a 65-60 loss to the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish at Rubin Arena on Wednesday night.
The Bucs fell behind 19-0 to start the game and never got closer than three points the rest of the way.
Keion Palmer came off the bench for the Bucs with 14 points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots, but fouled out with 1:48 remaining and the Bucs down by eight.
Dante Valentine had 18 points and Ian Sitz had 17 to lead the Sailfish (2-7) to just their second win of the season.
The Bucs host the St. Thomas Bobcats on Saturday, Dec. 10 in the Health & Sports Center at 2:00 pm, before taking a week off for exams.
