MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Five Barry University baseball players made their summer ball debut in three different leagues.
First baseman Sheehan Planas-Arteaga and middle infielder Adrian English are playing for the North Adams (Mass.) SteepleCats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The NECBL runs through the first week in August.
Pitchers Calvin Rayburn and Tyler Petsch are playing for the Covington Lumberjacks of the Valley Baseball League in Harrisburg, Va. The VBL runs through late July.
Outfielder Sam Halpern is playing for the Sanford River Rats in the Florida Collegiate Baseball League. The FCBL runs through the first week of August.
