Lauren Evans recorded 61 digs, averaging 7.62 per game, while holding opponents to a .183 team attack percentage last week. Against Nova Southeastern, she recorded a career-high 32 digs and became just the sixth player in Barry volleyball history to surpass 1,000 digs for her career. Against Palm Beach Atlantic, Evans followed up a superb defensive effort with a 29-dig performance giving her 457 for the season. This year's season total surpasses Evans' single-season record 439 digs she set just last season.

Carlos Velez helped lead the Barry men's golf team to their first tournament win for the 2007-08 season at the NSU Sharks Fall Invitational. Velez finished fifth out of the field of 74 individuals with a three-round score of 217 (+1) to pace the Buccaneer efforts. Heading into the final round, he had fired a score of 144 (E) in the first two rounds of play and finished the tournament just four strokes behind the individual medalist.
