Amanda Mageean led the Bucs to a 2-0 week, including a 63-39 upset of 17th-ranked Florida Tech to open Sunshine State Conference play. She recorded her first double-double of the year against the Panthers with a game-high 12 points and 11 rebounds. She also added four assists, a block and two steals, while only turning over the ball twice. She played 29 minutes in a post rotation (as the primary defender) that held Tech’s leading scorer, Kristi Hemminger, to just three points, 14 under her average. For the week, she was second on the team in points and first in rebounds as the Bucs set a school record for the best start to a season (7-0), breaking the mark of 6-0 set in 2000-01 when the Bucs advanced to the Sweet 16. |

Karega Tucker has scored a career-high in three straight games (19 against Cayey) as he continues to elevate his game. He led the Bucs to a 79-51 win over PBA with a career-high 23 points, and then topped that number with 28 points against FIT. For the week, he shot 70.4 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three-point range. In addition to leading the team in scoring, accounting for one-third of the Bucs' points, he was second in rebounding, assists and steals. |
