Tryout FAQ

What are the requirements for a high school student to tryout?
The prospective student-athlete must be enrolled in his/her senior year of high school. In addition, he/she can only participate in a tryout if he/she is in a term other than a term of his/her traditional high school season.

What are the requirements for a transfer student to tryout?
A prospective student-athlete who is currently attending another four-year institution must have a release from that institutions athletic department regardless of whether or not he/she is a student-athlete.

Is a physical required?
Yes, all prospective student-athletes (high school, transfer and current Barry students) must have a physical which has been completed within the past six months by a licensed physician. In addition, a liability waiver will be signed in the athletic training office.
