BOCA RATON, Fla.—Barry junior pitcher Calvin Rayburn was tabbed as the top defender in the South Region at his position, earning a Rawlings Gold Glove from the ABCA for his play this season.

Rayburn, in his first season as a starter, led the Bucs with a 9-2 record and three complete games. He posted a 5.14 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 75.1 innings. Defensively, he was like an extra infielder on the mound, with four putouts and 20 assists while committing no errors. He started one double play.

He is the first Barry pitcher to earn a gold glove.
