WINTER PARK, Fla. – Barry senior guard Tyler Hardy has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week presented by VALIC.

Hardy recorded two 20-plus point performances and a double-double to lead the Buccaneers to a 2-0 week to conclude the regular season. Against Lynn, Hardy scored 22 points in just 23 minutes of action. She went 6-of-11 from the field and 10-of-11 from the charity stripe. Barry defeated Lynn, 85-79. Against Florida Tech, Hardy recorded 22 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Ten of her rebounds came on the defensive boards. Hardy was perfect from the free-throw line (9-for-9), dished out four assists, blocked a shot and record a steal in the 77-62 win.

Hardy leads the Bucs into the SSC Tournament as the fifth-seed. They will face those same Florida Tech Panthers in the first round on Wednesday, Mar. 5 at 7:30 pm.
