Men's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team
Barry men's tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team honors in 2013-14.

SKILLMAN, N.J. -- Barry University men's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team honors Friday. Additionally, four players were named Scholar All-Americans.

The Buccaneers, who advanced to the NCAA Division II semifinals, had a 3.227 grade point average in 2013-14. ITA requires a team to post a minimum of 3.2 in the academic year, and that includes all players who were on the roster at any point in the season.

Barry junior Fabian Groetsch, sophomores Renato Lombardi and Eduardo Alfonzo, who since transferred to Florida Gulf Coast, and freshman Ahmed Triki all earned Scholar All-American inidividual honors. ITA individual honors are given to student-athletes who have a 3.5 GPA or better during the academic year.
