MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Head coach Denise Brolly has added some firepower to the women’s soccer team, with Skyline Conference player of the year Shanice Robe joining the team in the fall.

Robe, from Valley Stream, N.Y., scored 60 goals in two seasons with the Knights. She had 35 goals, 12 of them game-winners, and four assists as a freshman as the Knights went 17-4-1 and won the Skyline Conference with an 8-0-0 mark. She became the first player from Mount St. Mary’s to win the conference Player of the Year award. She led NCAA Division III in total goals, goals per game and total points. As a sophomore, she led the Knights to a 16-6-0 mark and another Skyline title at 8-0-0. She scored 25 goals, including eight game-winners, and added three assists. She reprised her Player of the Year award. She was picked by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as their offensive Player of the Year.

She owns the single season and career records for goals with the Knights after just two seasons.

Robe, who will be a junior this fall, joins freshmen Scottish midfielders Christy Grimshaw and Amanda Traynor and sophomore Columbian keeper transfer Paula Forero in the 2014 recruiting class.

The Bucs, who won the 2013 regular season title in the Sunshine State Conference, open the regular season at Flagler on Sept. 5.
