Morgan has spent the last five years teaching personal fitness at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High in Aventura. She has also coached the girl’s soccer team at Krop for the last four seasons. Additionally, she also led the Lightning girl’s golf team for two seasons.
One of the top keeper trainers in South Florida, Morgan has worked with the Cooper City Cobras travel team, professional Miami Kickers FC and the St. Thomas University sides over the last five years as well.
She played four seasons at Barry under former head coach Kyllene Carter-Weiss, helping the Buccaneers to a 46-20-10 record and 32 shutouts. The Bucs won two regular-season championships and one tournament championship in the Sunshine State Conference and advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times, including a national quarterfinal appearance in 2003.
Morgan went 3-3 with 1.5 shutouts in 20 games. Her 78.9 save percentage ranks seventh in school history.
She served two years on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, including one year as the secretary.
She received the Sister Jeanne O’Laughlin Community Service Award her senior year. She was actively involved in the Safe Space Holiday party and was the driving force behind the College Athletes Supporting Troops campaign, providing boxes of supplies for troops in Iraq.
After Barry, she played one season with the Brevard County Cocoa Expos in the WPSL, helping lead them to an undefeated regular season and the Sunshine Conference title. Morgan posted a 0.35 goals against average with six shutouts as the Expos went 11-1-1. She also recorded an assist as a forward against the Puerto Rico Capitals.
Morgan played three years under coach Lou Husted at Titusville High. In her senior season, she recorded over 200 saves, 5.5 shutouts and a 1.4 goals against average, earning a spot in the FACA East-West All-Star Game. She was named MVP of the North Team in the North vs. South Brevard County All-Star Game. Recipient of the Miss Terrier Leadership Award and the Gatorade Will-to-Win Award, she was a scholar-athlete all four years. As a junior, she was named to All-Cape Coast Conference.
Morgan graduated with honors from Barry in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
