Softball

• Since 2006 the Bucs have earned 16 athletic All-America awards from the NFCA and Daktronics Inc.
• Since 2006 they have earned 36 NFCA Scholar All-America awards
• Over the last four years, the Bucs have earned 29 All-SSC honors and 21 All-South Region honors
• Geralyn Elam, the 2002 NFCA National Player of the Year, was selected as the top pitcher on the SSC Silver Anniversary Team
• The Bucs have been to the NCAA Tournament 16 times with 4 trips to the national finals
• Grace Collins named 2012 Barry University President’s Award recipient
• Recent graduates have gone on to medical school, pharmacy school, open-heart surgery teams, and active military duty in the Middle East
• Head coach Danielle Penner, who won back-to-back national titles as a player in 1997 and 1998, was selected to the NCAA National Silver Anniversary Team 
• Former player Buccaneer Kat (McNamara) Ihlenburg chosen to start softball program at Georgia Gwinnett
