TOWSON, Md. -- Barry University senior men's golfer Daniel Stapff was named to the Capital One/College Sports Information Directors of America Division II Academic All-America At-Large First Team.

Stapff, a finance major who graduated with a 3.93 grade point average, finished fourth at the NCAA Championships in Simpsonville, Ky., last month after shooting 7-under par. At the NCAA Championships, Stapff was named the NCAA Elite 89 award winner, given to the men's golfer with the highest GPA competing at the national championships. It was the second time Stapff won the Elite 89 award.

A native of Curitiba, Brazil, Stapff owns Barry's school records for tournament victories (4) and career stroke average (72.95). He was a First-Team All-American by the Golf Coaches of Association of America in 2011, a two-time Sunshine State Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and won the SSC Player of the Year in 2011.

Junior men's tennis player Marco Mokrzycki was chosen as a Third-Team All-America selection.

Mokrzycki, a Hannover, Germany, native, carries a 3.34 in finance. He went 14-5 this season in earning Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America honors while playing at No. 1 singles. Mokrzycki was 8-3 against nationally-ranked opponents. He finished the year with a No. 5 national ranking.

As a doubles player, Mokrzycki was 21-6 overall. He and partner Leo Vivas received ITA All-America acclaim, going 14-5 as a team.
