Volunteer Assistant Coach
Ana Maria Zuleta was named an assistant coach in January 2013. She assists in player development and on-court coaching.
In 2014, she helped coach the Buccaneers to the NCAA Division II Championship, following a 29-1 season. Barry beat Armstrong Atlantic, 5-4, to win the national title. In 2013, Zuleta helped coach the Bucs to an unbeaten regular season and Sunshine State Conference Championship. Barry went 27-1, snapping No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic's 43-match win streak and advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals.
Zuleta worked for GSI Bollettieri tennis clubs in Miami Beach from 2006-08 and 2010-present, teaching kids from age 4 to adults, providing instruction and lessons and running camps. Bollettieri offers a junior academy for ages 9-18, and runs its own tournaments for juniors and adults.
Zuleta also worked two years at her dad's tennis academy, Eduardo Zuleta Tennis Academy, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. There she worked with junior players, preparing them for national tournaments.
Zuleta played at Barry from 2005-06. She had a 32-15 doubles record in two years with the Buccaneers. She went 17-4 as a singles player in 2005.
A native of Guayaquil, Ecuador, Zuleta graduated from Barry in 2006 with a bachelors degree in graphic design.
