Barry University's volleyball team will play its final regular season road match Friday at Eckerd before returning home for a pair to close the 2013 campaign in Health & Sports Center.

The Buccaneers (11-14, 4-9 Sunshine State Conference) have won three straight road matches. The Tritons (17-9, 8-5) are coming off a four-set win over Rollins last weekend before losing to Tampa in four a night earlier.

Friday's match in St. Petersburg is available on LIVE STATS and LIVE VIDEO

Eckerd needed five sets to beat Barry on Oct. 26 in Miami Shores. The Bucs got over their five-set hex this year, winning in a go-the-distance match last weekend at Lynn, which has 18 wins this season. Needless to say, Barry, which knocked off No. 19 West Florida in four sets on the Argonauts' home floor, can compete with the better teams in the South Region.

Senior Ashley Carrero leads the Bucs in kills with 217. She is second in digs with 202. Sophomore middle blocker/right side hitter Laine Cielena is the only other Buccaneer with over 200 kills, having put away 205 balls. She is second on the team in blocks with 51.

Eckerd's Lindsay Biggs has 310 kills, and Ali McAlvany has 287. Madison Burr has 613 assists.

Barry freshman setter Jenny Trinidad has 575 assists and 28 aces, and freshman middle blocker Ivana Didanovic is hitting .314, has a team-high 70 blocks and has served up 22 aces. Sophomore libero Jasmine Serna has 292 digs, 26 aces and 257 assists.

The Bucs host Florida Southern on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. and Saint Leo Nov. 23 at 4 p.m. to close the season. The Bucs will honor Carrero on Senior Day against the Lions.
