Mariana Lisboa was named a volunteer assistant coach at Barry in July 2013. 

Lisboa will assist with administrative duties, player development and instruction and other team responsibilities. She has worked Barry volleyball camps under head coach Steve Hendricks.

Lisboa was a two-year player for the Buccaneers in 2011 and 2012, having compiled over career 500 digs during her playing days in Miami Shores. She led the team in digs (265) and aces (32), and was second in kills (248) and points (296.5) as a junior. During her senior year, she helped lead the Bucs to a 17-13 overall and 9-7 Sunshine State Conference record and No. 8 South Region ranking. She finished tied for first in service aces per set (.32) while totalling 29, which was second on the team. Lisboa was second on the team in digs with 257, despite missing six matches.

Prior to playing for Barry, Lisboa became a First-Team All-American at Iowa Western Community College in her sophomore year. As a freshman in 2009, she led the Reivers in aces for the second straight year. She had 555 digs as a sophomore, 393 as a freshman.

In her four years at the two schools, Lisboa racked up 1,470 digs, 1,027 kills and 289 aces.

Lisboa completed her bachelor's degree in international business in May of 2013, and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
