Amanda Mageean begins her first season as an assistant coach after completing her four-year career with the Bucs. She will assist in all areas of the program, including recruiting, travel, scouting and film exchange. In addition, she is in charge of several areas of NCAA compliance as well as skill coaching in practice and games.
One of the best post defenders for the Bucs over her career, she finished 11th in school history in rebounding. For her career, she scored 730 points, grabbed 442 rebounds handed out 123 assists and swiped 86 steals.
One of the most dependable players in Buccaneer history, she is second in school annals with 114 games played, tied with Siaoa Torrealday (1996-2000) and just one game shy of Kelly Mahan’s (1996-2000) school record. At 97, she was also one start shy of Latoya Simpson’s (1993-97) school mark.
