MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University rowing's Varsity 8+ is ranked No. 1 in the nation in the cMax Rankings NCAA Division II poll released Wednesday.

The Buccaneers crew is No. 2 in the College Rowing Coaches Association rankings also released Wednesday.

Barry sits ahead of Nova Southeastern, Central Oklahoma, Western Washington and Humboldt State in the cMax ratings, having held the top spot for four straight weeks.

The Bucs are one spot behind Western Washington in the CRCA poll after receiving 162 points to WWU's 168. Western Washington received three first-place votes. Nova Southeastern, which received two first-place votes, is ranked third with 153 points.

Barry will row in the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta May 10-11 in Philadelphia.
