WINTER PARK, Fla.– Barry’s Lauren Manna and Becca Rogers swept the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week presented by VALIC. Rogers now has won three consecutive defensive player of the week awards and the Bucs, currently in first place in the league, have won five of the last six.

Manna led the conference-leading Buccaneers to a 2-0 week on the road to remain undefeated in conference play. Manna scored the first goal of the game at Lynn, and then set up the game-winner by Amber Smith from a corner kick, her first of the season, in a 2-1 victory. The junior then scored Barry’s second goal of the game in the 71st minute at No. 13 Tampa in a 3-0 victory.

Rogers continues to dominate conference play after allowing just one goal during two road games to remain undefeated in SSC action. Rogers made four saves on seven shots in a 2-1 victory at Lynn. The junior then recorded three saves on eight shots for her conference-leading seventh shutout of the season against the SSC’s top scoring team, #13 Tampa, in a 3-0 win. Rogers also leads the SSC in goals against average (0.66) and save percentage (.875).
