MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Barry University assistant softball coach Megan Timpf has left the program for a similar position at UNLV.

Timpf, a member of the Canadian national team, served three seasons as assistant to head coach Danielle Penner with the Bucs. She helped lead the team to the NCAA Regionals in two of the three years and compiled a 101-51 mark.

Timpf heads to a Rebels program that went 26-28, including 15-9 in the Mountain West Conference, last season under head coach Lisa Dodd. She joins current Team Canada teammate Caitlin Lever on the Rebel staff.

A national search for her replacement will begin immediately.
