WINTER PARK, Fla. (Men’s Soccer) –Barry’s Johnny Rodrigues and Rollins’ Tosan Popo have been selected Sunshine State Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week presented by VALIC.

Barry senior GK Johnny Rodrigues (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) recorded a total of 13 saves last week, including a career-high 10 saves in a 1-0 shutout over defending National Champion Lynn University. He made eight of his 10 saves in the second half to preserve a 1-0 victory, while facing 26 total shots. Rodrigues began the week making three saves on 12 shots in a 1-1 draw with Eckerd.

The Buccaneers host Palm Beach Atlantic University on Wednesday and then travel to Lakeland, Fla. on Saturday for the start of conference play against Florida Southern College.
