MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- Looking to get back to winning ways after dropping their last two games, Barry Men’s Soccer regained their form Saturday, as they defeated the Rollins College Tars 3-1.

A goal from midfielder Ruaridh Kay off a eight-yard shot into the far post in the 33rd minute got things started for the Buccaneers.

The scoring continued in the 42nd minute as Kay fired in a 25-yard blast from outside of the box to put Barry up 2-0. His two goals raises Kay's season toal to three.

Manuel Perez had an assist in both goals, raising his season total to three.

The second half took longer than expected as a lightning delay starting in the 52nd minute caused a 1:15 pause.

After the delay ended, the action on the field sped up as Rollins got one back off an Alexis Martinez goal in the 53rd minute.

The rest of the half consisted of attempts by Rollins to tie it up and by Barry to put it away, which it did in the 89th minute as midfidler Mumbi Kwesele scored his first goal of the year on an empty net.

Rollins goalkeeper Julian Grundler had run up to Barry’s box to add an extra body for the Tars as they attempted a corner kick, thus leaving the goal open for Kwesele to put the game to rest.

Assists on the goal came from defender Michael Dodds, and midfiedler Maurice Padula.

The Bucs improve 4-3-1 on the season and 1-1-0 in SSC play. They return to the field next Wednesday, October 8th as they take on SSC rival Nova Southeastern at 7:00 pm in Davie, Fla.
