PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Barry University men’s tennis teammates Fabian Pronnet and Nico Dreer will meet in the semifinals at the Pembroke Lakes Invitational at Pembroke Lakes Golf & Racquet Club.
Pronnet beat Erroll Laurence, 6-7 (2-7), 6-1, 6-2, in the quarterfinals. Dreer defeated Buccaneers teammate Kevin Sielmann, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, to reach the semis.
Fabian Groetsch lost to Dominik Pagon, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Groetsch defeated Oleg Dmitriev, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), in the Round of 16. Barry’s Austin Cruz fell to Laurence, 6-3, 6-2.
Semifinals and finals are scheduled for Monday.
